Rudolf steiner and the edda

Im reading a book named “between wodan & widar. It’s an antroposofic aproach towards the gods, myths, dwarves, giants, symbols and other beings.
I find it lightly annoying that it keeps referring back to christ as being the goal to what the gods are trying to guide us. The gods are described as various sorts of angels etc, that are there to guide humanity to the stage of individuals able to carry the self.
However i don’t like to put christ and odin in an overlapping timeline, where the many seem to prepare the way for the one, the mystical symbolism explained from the myths thru antroposofic eyes really does add alot to the depth and understanding of our personal evolution. I will use examples in a next post.
I made this post via the wordpress app on my android phone.

  1. Interestingly, at the core of Rudolf Steiner’s Anthropsophy is humanism. Steiner gives his fundamental world-view in his “Philosophy Of Freedom”. Here he asserts that human morality, like human knowledge, is conditional upon human nature. For anyone interested in learning about Rudolf Steiner a new online Philosophy Of Freedom Study Course is available at . Its Free and includes videos, illustrations, and diagrams to help study the book.
